Treatments

offers three energy-centred healing therapies to help deal with today’s demanding lifestyles: Energetic Massage Therapy, Polarity Therapy, and LaStone Therapy

Energetic Massage Therapy

Energetic Massage Therapy (EMT) is a holistic therapy, which promotes a sense of balance and harmony. It helps maintain good health and well being by treating the body, mind, emotions and spirit as one entity.

This treatment encourages self-healing, relaxation and tension release through breathing techniques, visualisation and the power of touch, which is the oldest healing method known to man. EMT works on the body’s soft tissue and muscles by gently, yet firmly, stroking, kneading and stimulating them. All of the body’s systems react in a positive way from the inner-most cells of the nervous system through to the circulatory, muscular, skeletal, respiratory and lymphatic systems.

Energetic Massage Therapy

The treatment is very subtle but can have significant impact. The emotional and energetic balance EMT provides is just as vital and valuable as the more tangible physical benefits.

Treatments are designed to raise clients’ awareness of how they are living their lives and changes are discussed, often very simple, that can be incorporated into everyday life to bring about improved health and vitality. In addition, many forms of relaxation are encouraged, including quiet meditation time, yoga, stretching exercises, breath work, walking or just being "in nature". Clients are frequently reminded that we are "human beings, not human do-ings". Information and guidance on diet and nutrition is also an integral part of each treatment.

Candlelight, soothing music and a very safe environment creates an oasis of calm and tranquility during a treatment. Reiki, as necessary, is used in treatments along with balancing the body’s natural energy, or chi, through the chakra system. Just one session can unblock stagnated or blocked chi.

During the initial consultation a detailed case history is taken to build a life-style profile. This includes medical history, diet, stress levels, sleep, thought and reactive behavioural patterns. This case history also identifies any contra-indications to massage that may exist. Initial consultations are followed up with a reminder of the points covered, as it can be difficult to remember everything discussed.
